GENERAL CAR RENTAL CONDITIONS

The minimum age required of the driver is 21, and they must have a driving license with a minimum of 1 year's experience and up to 6 months validity.

The client must present the following original documents:

  1. Current passport, driving license and be in possession of an international credit card (Master Card, Visa, American Express).
  2. Compulsory insurance indicated in the price list per day and car. It is paid on arrival directly to the rental company when the contract is signed, with a compulsory guarantee deposit.
  3. The car must be returned to the rental company at the same time as pick-up to avoid additional charges.
  4. The car rental price does not include fuel, compulsory basic insurance or full coverage insurance, excess, GPS, charges for return or delivery to different parts of the country and the car's security deposit.
  5. Driving by unauthorized persons, fines or any negligent conduct indicated in the rental agreement are the sole responsibility of the driver or rental agreement holder. 
  6. The availability of any make or model of car is not guaranteed. In the event of availability of the models indicated, a car with similar characteristics will be delivered.
  7. The car is received with a full tank of fuel and must be returned in the same condition or pay the full tank price.
  8. The vehicle is scheduled to be delivered in San José or Guápiles (Tortuguero) and returned at San José (Belén) airport. Consult pick-up and return supplements in other parts of the country.
