Departure for Nakitoma to visit the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, a sanctuary run by the NGO "Uganda Rhino Fund" which, since 1982, has been working to reintroduce the extinct white rhino to Uganda. Lunch. DAY 4 - MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK
Departure at dawn for a safari on the north bank of the River Nile, during which you can see elephants, lions, buffalos, Rothschild giraffes, Jackson antelopes, oribis, jeroglyphic antelopes or Bosboks, Bohor antelopes or deer, spotted hyenas and leopards. Return to the lodge for breakfast. Morning at leisure. Lunch. In the afternoon, departure for the port to embark on a cruise from the River Nile to Murchison Falls. During the cruise you will have the opportunity to observe hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and various species of birds such as Goliath herons, pelicans, bee-eaters, curlews, cormorants, and, if you're lucky, the rare Capped storks. The boat will stop a few meters from the "Devil's Cauldron", where the Nile narrows from a width of 47 meters through a canyon 6 meters wide and falls 40 meters high with a deafening noise. Departure for the meeting point in Kibale National Park to start trekking in search of the chimpanzees and other primates that inhabit Kibale Forest, the largest of its kind in sub-Saharan Africa. Kibale has the largest concentration of primates in the world, comprising up to 13 different species of primate, including the Ohoestes monkey, the red colobus, the blue cercopithecus, the red-tailed guenon and the gray-cheeked mangabey. DAY 7 - QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK
Breakfast. Safari in the Kasenyi area, within the Queen Elizabeth National Park, where you will have the opportunity to observe lions, buffaloes, elephants, antelopes, leopards, hyenas or even the rare giant forest pig. Lunch at the hotel, located next to the Kazinga Canal pier. After lunch, cruise along the Kazinga Channel, a 32km natural channel that connects Lakes Edward and George. Along the cruise you will have the opportunity to observe one of the world's largest concentrations of hippos, buffaloes, Nile crocodiles and water birds (more than 600 species have been sighted in the Queen Elizabeth National Park).
