DAY 4 - MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK
Departure at dawn for a safari on the north bank of the River Nile, during which you can see elephants, lions, buffalos, Rothschild giraffes, Jackson antelopes, oribis, jeroglyphic antelopes or Bosboks, Bohor antelopes or deer, spotted hyenas and leopards. Return to the lodge for breakfast. Morning at leisure. Lunch. In the afternoon, departure for the port to embark on a cruise from the River Nile to Murchison Falls. During the cruise you will have the opportunity to observe hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and various species of birds such as Goliath herons, pelicans, bee-eaters, curlews, cormorants, and, if you're lucky, the rare Capped storks. The boat will stop a few meters from the "Devil's Cauldron", where the Nile narrows from a width of 47 meters through a canyon 6 meters wide and falls 40 meters high with a deafening noise. Departure for the meeting point in Kibale National Park to start trekking in search of the chimpanzees and other primates that inhabit Kibale Forest, the largest of its kind in sub-Saharan Africa. Kibale has the largest concentration of primates in the world, comprising up to 13 different species of primate, including the Ohoestes monkey, the red colobus, the blue cercopithecus, the red-tailed guenon and the gray-cheeked mangabey. DAY 7 - QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK
Breakfast. Safari in the Kasenyi area, within the Queen Elizabeth National Park, where you will have the opportunity to observe lions, buffaloes, elephants, antelopes, leopards, hyenas or even the rare giant forest pig. Lunch at the hotel, located next to the Kazinga Canal pier. After lunch, cruise along the Kazinga Channel, a 32km natural channel that connects Lakes Edward and George. Along the cruise you will have the opportunity to observe one of the world's largest concentrations of hippos, buffaloes, Nile crocodiles and water birds (more than 600 species have been sighted in the Queen Elizabeth National Park). DAY 9 - BWINDI NATIONAL PARK
Breakfast. Departure for the park's visitor center for a brief explanation of the rules and behaviors to be followed during the trek and gorilla watching. After explanation, start trekking through the forest. In Bwindi, in the Buhoma and Ruhija sectors, there are a total of 9 groups of gorillas that are accustomed to human presence and can be visited by tourists (five groups in Buhoma and four in Ruhija). Each group can be visited by a maximum of 8 people per day and encounters with the gorillas are strictly limited to 1 hour. Picnic lunch. After the end of the activity, return to the lodge and free time to rest. Dinner and accommodation.
The trek can take between 1 and 8 hours, the terrain is steep and, depending on the rainfall, there can be a lot of mud. The route is physically demanding and can reach altitudes of over 2,500 meters. It is advisable to bring warm and comfortable clothing, namely pants, long-sleeved shirts, high socks and a hat, as well as raincoats and footwear prepared for trekking. It is also advisable to wear sunscreen and insect repellent. Water will be provided by the guide.
