Icelandic Waterfalls

Arrival at the airport at least 2 hours in advance. Boarding formalities and departure by flight to Reykjavik. Arrival and accommodation in Keflavík. 

Note: The hotel planned for tonight is located about 5 minutes' walk from the airport. The transfer is not included.

Breakfast. Departure towards the Blue Lagoon. Here you will have the opportunity to take a dip in the famous Blue Lagoon, a unique wonder of nature with warm, mineral-rich waters in the middle of a huge lava field. Visit the south coast of the island. This is one of the country's main agricultural regions. During the tour you can see some typical Icelandic farms, often with Icelandic horses in the fields. Visit to the Seljalandsfoss waterfall. If the trail conditions allow, you can walk behind the Seljalandsfoss waterfall. Continue to the town of Vík. Dinner and accommodation.

Breakfast. Departure to cross the largest lava region in the world - Eldhraun, and the sandy desert region of Skeiðarársandur. Continue to the Skaftafell region, a place of great natural beauty, part of the Vatnajokull National Park. The park is named after the Vatnajökull glacier, the largest glacier in Iceland, with an area of around 8000km2. Amphibious boat trip (about 45min.) on the glacial lagoon of Jökulsárlón. Right next to Jokulsarlon is the black volcanic sand beach known as Diamond Beach, where blue, white and clear icebergs drift away from the glacial lagoon offering a wonderful landscape. The journey continues to Hofn. Dinner and accommodation.

Breakfast. Departure for the East Fjords until you reach the Berufjörður Fjord. Cross the Oxi mountain track and arrive in Egilsstaðir. Drive through the desert area of Jökulsalsheiði and on to Lake Mývatn. Visit the Dettifoss waterfall and the Skútustaðir craters. Dinner and accommodation.

Breakfast. Departure for the Lake Myvatn region, to explore the wonders of nature that this region has to offer: the extraordinary lava formations of Dimmuborgir, the geothermal area of Hverarönd and the local fauna and flora. Visit to Goðafoss, the "Waterfall of the Gods". Continue to Akureyri, considered the capital of the North and one of the most beautiful towns on the island. Accommodation. 

Breakfast. Drive through Skagafjörður and Holtavordurheidi to the picturesque region of Borgarfjörður. Visit the beautiful Hraunfossar waterfall and the Deildartunguhver hot spring. Continue to Reykjavik. Accommodation. 

Breakfast. Departure towards Gullfoss, to visit the famous "Golden Waterfall". Continue to the Geysir geothermal area, passing through farmland to find the famous Strokkur geyser, which erupts boiling water every 10 minutes. This is followed by a visit to Thingvellir National Park, one of the most important sites in the country's history and with impressive geology. Return to Reykjavik. Accommodation.

Breakfast. At a time to be arranged locally, transfer to the airport to board the return flight. Boarding formalities and departure. Arrival.
