Safari Kenya and Tanzania, The African Dream

Breakfast. At a time to be arranged locally, transfer to Wilson airport for a flight by plane to the majestic Masai Mara National Reserve, considered the natural pearl of the country. The flight will offer a panoramic view over the grassy hills dotted with acacia trees that remind us so much of the authentic African landscape in the legendary movie "Africa Mine". Reception at the airstrip and start of the safari. "Mother Earth's garden is called the Maasai Mara" - there is no better phrase to describe the experience offered in this reserve, an explosion of wildlife in its purest state, the place where one and a half million wildebeest cross the mythical Mara or Sand rivers every year. Antelopes of all kinds, zebras, elephants, felines... you can observe them during these days on safari in the Maasai Mara National Reserve. Accommodation.

Breakfast. This day, safari in the Masai Mara National Reserve, during which you will have the opportunity to enjoy the rich diversity of wildlife and will invite you to explore its streams and savannahs in search of lions, leopards, rhinos, buffaloes, until you reach the banks of the mighty Mara River, with its chocolate waters where, just a few meters away, hippos play and crocodiles rest. The course of the Mara River is the natural barrier that the great migratory herds of wildebeest and zebra that move between the Masai Mara Reserve and the Serengeti National Park cross every year, forming a truly dazzling spectacle. Breakfast. In the morning, depart for your next destination, Lake Victoria. Also known as Victoria Nyanza or Ukerewe, it will welcome you with its idiosyncrasy and biodiversity. Entry formalities at the Tanzanian border. Arrival at sunset to enjoy the sunset and the ornithological richness that this unknown paradise offers. Accommodation.

Breakfast. Boat trip during which you can observe the fishermen and their traditional ways of fishing and the countless birds that inhabit the lake. Continue on safari to the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania, a natural extension of the Maasai Mara National Reserve in Kenya. The borders, however, are ignored by the animals who, in their search for fresh pastures, cross them every year between July and October: around one and a half million wildebeest, 250000 zebras and half a million gazelles, followed by lions and hyenas - this is the famous "Great Migration" and is one of the most breathtaking spectacles of nature in the world. This evening will be spent in the middle of one of the greatest wildlife sanctuaries on the planet, on the "endless plain". Its landscapes match the mythical image of Africa: wide open spaces, deep blue skies dotted with clouds, cool sunrises and fiery sunsets, and at night, a unique display of stars. Dinner and accommodation.

Breakfast. For the more curious or for lovers of animal life in its most natural state, we suggest starting the day early to have the chance to witness hunting scenes. Safari day dedicated to trying to find the "Big Five": lions, buffalo, elephants, rhinos and leopards. In addition to these undisputed protagonists, the vast expanses of these endless savannahs are home to large herds of herbivores all year round, always on the lookout for the appearance of a cheetah or a pack of lionesses. Accommodation.

Breakfast. The last morning in the Serengeti will be spent tracking wildlife and observing the Park's other unique feature, the kopjes, rock islands in a sea of grass where lions and leopards love to rest. Visit a Boma Maasai, or Maasai village, to experience first-hand their ancestral traditions and way of life in the Ngorongoro area. Continue to the lodge which will offer you spectacular views of the Ngorongoro Crater and an authentic Maasai experience. You can enjoy a chat and a glass of wine around the campfire with the Maasai who guard the camp - it will certainly be a memorable experience. Accommodation.

Breakfast. Departure under the first rays of the sun to the Ngorongoro Crater. A volcanic caldera 600 meters deep and more than 20 kilometers in diameter which contains the largest "permanent" concentration of wildlife in Africa - the Ngorongoro Crater is a giant volcano which, in its time, was perhaps taller than Kilimanjaro itself, and is home to thousands of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, gazelles, lions and rhinos which, unlike the Serengeti, practically don't migrate due to the continuous presence of water in the area which ensures their permanent sustenance. The crater gives its name to the conservation area in which it is located: a spectacular landscape, inhabited by more than 40,000 Maasai pastoralists, dominated by the Rift Valley and the nine Ngorongoro volcanoes that arose more than 4 million years ago. The only one that is currently active is Ol Doinyo Lengai, the mountain of God for the Maasai. Continue to the hotel in Arusha. Accommodation.
