Glimpse of New Zealand

Arrival at the airport at least 2 hours in advance. Boarding formalities and departure on a flight to Auckland. Overnight on board.

Arrival at the airport and transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Accommodation.

Breakfast. The day begins with a visit to Muriwai Regional Park, known for its black sand coastline, surfing and also for being home to a colony of gannets. Next, a visit to the Auckland Museum, which has an interesting art collection and Maori and Polynesian relics. The tour continues through Parnell, one of Auckland's oldest neighborhoods, and on to Mission Bay. Visit to the Auckland Viaduct. The day ends with a visit to the Sky Tower, a 328-meter-high tower. Transfer to your accommodation.

Breakfast. Departure for Waitomo, where you'll visit the Waitomo Glowworm Caves, New Zealand's famous glowworm caves, which you can admire on board a small canoe. Lunch will be a traditional barbecue in a local restaurant. Departure for Rotorua and transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon, visit to the Te Puia Thermal Reserve and Maori Cultural Center, where you can see various deposits of silica and boiling clay and admire the geysers (hot springs). Finally, a traditional Maori welcome and a demonstration of typical dances and songs followed by a typical Maori dinner. Transfer to the hotel. Accommodation. 

Breakfast. Visit to the Waimangu Thermal Reserve, an extensive reserve with geothermal activity where you can see the effect of the eruption of Mount Tarawera in 1886. Return to Auckland and transfer to the hotel. Accommodation.

Departure for the airport. Drop off at Auckland airport and flight back to Portugal. Night on board.
