Alsace and the Black Forest are two neighboring regions in Europe, each with its own charm. Alsace in France is known for its picturesque half-timbered villages and white wines, while the Black Forest in Germany offers lush forests, waterfalls and the famous cherry pie that bears its name. Both regions are ideal destinations for nature and culture lovers. On this excellent trip, you will visit the cities of Frankfurt, Baden-Baden, Strasbourg, the Black Forest, Titisee, Freiburg, Lake Constance, Riquewihr, Colmar and Heidelberg.

ITINERARY

DAY 1 - PORTUGAL / FRANKFURT

Arrival at the airport at least 2 hours in advance. Boarding formalities and departure by flight to Warsaw. Arrival and transfer to the hotel. Accommodation.

DAY 2 - FRANKFURT / BADEN-BADEN / STRASBOURG / BLACK FOREST

Breakfast. After breakfast, we'll head to Baden Baden, where we'll take a stroll through this refined and elegant city that attracted the haute bourgeoisie in the 19th century, attracted by its reputation as a spa resort and which still retains its splendor, with its gardens, spas, palaces and its casino, etc. After the visit, we head to the capital of Alsace, Strasbourg. Lunch on the road. We'll visit the cathedral district to see the impressive red stone Gothic building. Next, we'll visit the Petit France district, where we'll see the typical houses of the old tanners. We'll finish our journey by bus, from where we can see the Rhin Palace and the victims' monument in Republic Square, the new European Parliament, the Palace of the Court of Human Rights and the Council of Europe, among other places of interest. Onwards to Freiburg. Dinner and accommodation. 

DAY 3 - BLACK FOREST / TITISEE / FRIBOURG / BLACK FOREST

Breakfast. In the morning, set off towards Lake Titisee, located in the south of the Black Forest and offering precious landscapes surrounded by spectacular vegetation and beautiful towns. We'll continue towards Freiburg, where we'll take a panoramic tour of the cathedral, the old town with its Gothic buildings and Munsterplatz. After the visit, return to the hotel. Accommodation. 

DAY 4 - BLACK FOREST / LAKE CONSTANCE / MEERSBURG / BLACK FOREST

Breakfast. In the morning, departure towards Lake Constanza. Arrival in the medieval town of Konstanza. We'll take a stroll through the old part of town, where we'll see the Cathedral of Our Lady, the Pulverturm and Rheintorturm towers, the Markstatte square and Munsterplatz, etc. We'll cross Lake Constanza by boat to reach Meersburg, a small town with half-timbered facades and a privileged position on the river bank. On the way back to Freiburg, we'll find the Birnau Pilgrimage Church, a fine example of the German Baroque style. Arrival at the hotel. Dinner and accommodation.  

DAY 5 - BLACK FOREST / RICEWIHR / COLMAR / BLACK FOREST

Breakfast. Departure for Riquewirh, a charming walled village on the so-called Alsatian wine route. We'll take a walk to see the El Doder tower, the Dissler house, the Zimmer house, etc. and have the opportunity to taste some of its famous wines, such as Riesling, Sylvaner, etc. We'll continue on to Colmar, known as the wine capital of Alsace. We'll stroll through its historic center, with its half-timbered houses and the district known as Little Venice. Return to the hotel. Dinner and accommodation. 

DAY 6 - BLACK FOREST / TRIBERG / GENGENBACH / MANNHEIM AREA

Breakfast. Departure for the heart of the Black Forest, where we'll cross the Gutach valley to Triberg, known for the production of cuckoo clocks. In the surrounding area, we will see the largest cuckoo clocks in the world, the Eble Uhren-Park and Schonach. Lunch. Continue to Gengenbach, situated on the edge of the Black Forest and one of the 10 most beautiful villages in the region. We'll stroll through this impeccably preserved village, with its ramparts and typical half-timbered houses. It was here that the filming locations for Tim Burton's "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" were shot. Continue to the Mannheim area. Dinner and overnight.

DAY 7 - MANNHEIM/HEIDELBERG/FRANKFURT AREA

Breakfast. In the morning, we'll visit Heidelberg, a lively university town in the Neckar river valley, to see its impressive medieval castle, picturesque narrow streets, the Church of the Holy Spirit, the town hall, the university, etc. Continue to the economic capital of Germany, Frankfurt, also home to the ECB (European Central Bank), where we will take a panoramic tour. Dinner and accommodation.

Breakfast. At a time to be arranged locally, transfer to the airport to board the return flight. Arrival.
