Galveston is a coastal resort city on Galveston Island and Pelican Island in the U.S. state of Texas. The community of 208.3 square miles (539 km2), with its population of 47,762 people (2012 Census estimate), is the county seat and second-largest municipality of Galveston County. It is within Houston–The Woodlands–Sugar Land metropolitan area. Named after Bernardo de Gálvez y Madrid, Count of Gálvez (born in Macharaviaya, Spain), Galveston's first European settlements on the island were built around 1816 by French pirate Louis-Michel Aury to help the fledgling Republic of Mexico fight Spain. The Port of Galveston was established in 1825 by the Congress of Mexico following its independence from Spain. The city was the main port for the Texas Navy during the Texas Revolution, and later served as the capital of the Republic of Texas. During the 19th century, Galveston became a major U.S. commercial center and one of the largest ports in the United States. It was devastated by the 1900 Galveston Hurricane, whose effects included flooding and a storm surge. The natural disaster on the exposed barrier island is still ranked as the deadliest in United States history, with an estimated death toll of 6,000 to 12,000 people. Much of Galveston's economy is centered in the tourism, health care, shipping, and financial industries. The 84-acre (340,000 m2) University of Texas Medical Branch campus with an enrollment of more than 2,500 students is a major economic force of the city. Galveston is home to six historic districts containing one of the largest and historically significant collections of 19th-century buildings in the United States, with over 60 structures listed in the National Register of Historic Places.

Day 4
grand cayman, cayman islands
Arrival: 08:00 - Departure: 16:00
The Cayman Islands are an island group in the Caribbean Sea, ninety miles south of Cuba. The beautiful coral reefs and outstandingly clear waters have made this island group a favourite destination of divers. Great beaches and fine restaurants and resorts make it an excellent tourist destination as well. Grand Cayman is the largest island and home to most of the population and tourist facilities. The small but affluent port city of George Town is the capital of the Cayman Islands. Located on the island of Grand Cayman, George Town has all of the shopping, which includes the highly sought after rum cake, all sorts of jewellery, and the endless duty-free shopping on offer just outside the docks. The main restaurants and bars are located in George Town and various island tours often meet here. The buildings are painted in attractive pastel colours and the city is very well kept and pleasant. The Grand Cayman is known for its Seven Miles Beach, a gorgeous beach with powdery white sand and aqua marine sea. Seven Mile beach, located on the west coast north of George Town, is one of the finest beaches in the world. If you love sunshine and the ocean this may be the place for you.

Day 6
oranjestad, aruba
Arrival: 09:00 - Departure: 22:00
Aruba is a Caribbean island 15 miles north of the coast of Venezuela, and is one of the four countries that together form the Kingdom of the Netherlands. This flat island with no rivers is renowned for its white sand beaches and tropical climate moderated by constant trade winds from the Atlantic Ocean. As any Caribbean destination, its beaches do not disappoint, they are wonderfully pretty with silver sand, warm shallow turquoise waters and an abundance of interesting birds and fauna. Oranjestad is the bustling capital of Aruba. Oranjestad has become a destination within the destination Aruba, and is one of the Caribbean's most photogenic cities. The city is also quiet lively at night, so much so that the city has been voted, in several occasions, as the Caribbean's best small town nightlife city.

Day 7
kralendijk, bonaire
Arrival: 08:00 - Departure: 17:00
Bonaire is a Caribbean island east of Central America and north of Venezuela. Together with Aruba and Curaçao, it forms the group known as the ABC islands. Bonaire is a nature lovers’ island. The island has three nature sanctuaries, one for birds and wildlife, another for flamingos, and the third for marine life. Bonaire is one of the few remaining nesting places in the world for the pink flamingo. Its turquois and blue waters are so beautiful and inviting. Snorkelling and scuba diving are the main activities here and you will soon discover why Bonaire is considered an underwater paradise. Bonaire's capital Kralendijk, which means “dyke made from coral", is a very nice port city on the Central West coast of Bonaire. Here is where you'll find the vast majority of the island's restaurants, businesses, bars and shopping. Kralendijk is a nice city to explore with a long walk.

Day 8
willemstad, curacao
Arrival: 08:00 - Departure: 16:00
Curaçao is an island in the Caribbean, among the group known as the ABC Islands alongside Aruba and Bonaire. One of the most notable things about the island is its culture. Curaçao has a nice blend of Caribbean, European, and Latino culture. The streets and buildings look European, but the people, the food, the music and the colourful street markets have a distinctly Caribbean flair. Willemstad is the capital of Curaçao. Willemstad has a gorgeous old town. Many of the buildings were constructed in the colonial Dutch manner in the early 18th century. The facades of these buildings are a kaleidoscope of colours ranging from pastel tints to vibrant blues, greens, reds, purples, jades, and buffs in a wide variety of shades. Friendly inhabitants, wonderful climate, white sand, crystal clear water, some of the world’s best scuba diving spots, European-style architecture, a unique international floating market, the world’s longest floating bridge and the many possibilities for excursions and entertainment really make Curacao a place that should be on your Caribbean wish list.
