DAY 1 – PORTUGAL / NAIROBI

Arrival at the airport at least two hours in advance for boarding formalities. Departure for Nairobi. Night on board.

DAY 2 – NAIROBI

Arrival in Nairobi. Transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Accommodation.

DAY 3 – NAIROBI / MASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE

Breakfast. On the way through the fertile fields, you will pass the road built by Italian prisoners during the Second World War, see a chapel by the escarpment and pass the Longonot satellite earth station towards Narok. The journey continues through fields of wheat and barley, before arriving in the Masai Mara in time for lunch. Afternoon safari. Arrival at the lodge at sunset. Dinner and accommodation.

DAY 4 – MASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE

Early morning breakfast and departure on safari. Mid-morning return to the lodge. Lunch and some time to rest. Afternoon safari and visit to the Masai village, returning to the lodge at sunset. Dinner and accommodation.

DAY 5 – MASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE / NAKURU~LAKE

Departure for Lake Nakuru after breakfast, crossing the vast fields of wheat and barley to Narok. Continue your journey through the plains of the Great Rift Valley, where you may spot giraffes and gazelles, passing Mai-Mahiu. Arrival at Lake Nakuru around midday. Once inside the park, a safari en route. After lunch and a rest break, depart on safari to enjoy the sunset. In Lake Nakuru National Park, you will be able to spot birds and some flamingos (although they are rarer in this area). The park is also home to rare black and white rhinos as well as Rothschild giraffes. Dinner and accommodation.

DAY 6 – NAKURU LAKE / NAIROBI / PORTUGAL

Breakfast. Departure for Lake Naivasha for a boat trip. Continue to Nairobi, arriving in the late morning. Lunch. Transfer to the airport and board the flight back to Portugal. Night on board.

Breakfast. Leaving the Masai Mara, drive through vast fields of wheat and barley to Narok, the district headquarters of this part of Maasailand. Continue the journey through the plains of the Great Rift Valley to the camp at Lake Elementaita. Lunch. Depart for a safari in Lake Nakuru National Park, returning as the sun sets. In the park you can spot birds and some flamingos (although they are rarer in this area). The park is also home to rare black and white rhinos as well as Rothschild giraffes. Return to the lodge, dinner and accommodation.

DAY 6 – LAGO ELEMENTAITA / NAIROBI / PORTUGAL

Breakfast. Departure for Lake Naivasha for a boat trip. Continue to Nairobi, arriving in the late morning. Lunch. Transfer to the airport and board the flight back to Portugal. Night on board.

Continue your journey through the plains of the Great Rift Valley, stopping along the way for a picnic lunch. After lunch, set off towards Lake Nakuru National Park and, along the way, spot giraffes and gazelles as you pass Mai-Mahiu. Arrival at the park and safari. In the park you can spot birds and some flamingos (although they are rarer in this area). The park is also home to rare black and white rhinos as well as Rothschild giraffes. In the late afternoon, departure for the camp located in the Soysambu Conservancy. Dinner and accommodation.

DAY 6 – LAGO ELEMENTAITA / NAIROBI / PORTUGAL

Breakfast. Departure to Nairobi, arriving in the late morning. Lunch. Transfer to the airport and board the flight back to Portugal. Night on board.
