DAY 1 – REYKJAVIK
Arrival in Reykjavík and transfer by regular “Fly Bus” service (without assistance) to the hotel or a nearby stop. Accommodation.
DAY 2 – REYKJAVIK / GOLDEN CIRCLE / SELJALANDSFOSS / SKÓGAFOSS / REYNISFJARA / VÍK
Breakfast. Departure for the Golden Circle. The first stop will be Thingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the birthplace of Icelandic democracy in 930 and home to the first European parliament. It also has very interesting geological significance, as you can clearly see the fault line caused by the separation of the Eurasian and American tectonic plates. Gullfoss is a spectacular waterfall with two falls and a total of 32 meters; and finally the two large geysers Strókkur and Geysir, which erupt every 8 minutes with a water column of almost 20 meters. Continuation to the south coast, observing the Seljalandsfoss and Skógarfoss waterfalls, Iceland's most famous waterfalls. Continuation to the black beach of Reynisfjara and its enormous geological formations. Dinner and accommodation.
DAY 3 – VÍK / SKAFTAFELL NATIONAL PARK / JÖKULSÁRLÓN / HÖFN
Breakfast. Departure for Skaftafell National Park, part of the vast Vatnajökull National Park. Arrival at the Jökulsárlón Glacier, the largest glacier in Europe, where you will take an amphibious boat trip among the huge icebergs in the picturesque landscape of Jökulsárlón (duration: about 30-45 min). Next to Jökulsárlón there is a black volcanic sand beach known as “Diamond Beach”, where small blue, white and transparent icebergs emerge from the glacial lagoon and land on the sand like diamonds. Continue to the Höfn area. Dinner and accommodation.
DAY 4 – HÖFN / EAST FJORDS / HIGHLANDS
Breakfast. Departure for the East Fjords, a region of stunning natural beauty, where rugged mountains meet the sea in a series of deep fjords. This unique landscape is home to picturesque fishing villages such as Seyðisfjörður and Djúpivogur, which offer a glimpse into traditional Icelandic life. The region is an ideal opportunity to observe the local wildlife, such as reindeer and seabirds. Continuation to the hotel, the Wilderness Centre, which is located on the edge of the highlands, isolated from civilization, immense in the grandeur of the Icelandic wilderness. In the evening, there will be an evening around the campfire. The local guide will share stories from the region and teach you how to smoke meat using traditional methods. It will be a unique experience to learn about Iceland's culinary and cultural customs. Tasting dinner and accommodation.
DAY 5 – HIGHLANDS / DETIFOSS / MÝVATN
Breakfast. The day will be spent exploring the interior of the island, an uninhabited region in the northeast that will take you on a journey to the great Dettifoss waterfall, the most powerful waterfall in Europe in terms of volume of water. Nearby, Lake Mývatn, known for its biodiversity and volcanic landscapes, is a paradise for birdwatchers. Skútustaðir offers a unique landscape of pseudo-craters covered in vegetation, contrasting with the vastness of the surrounding lava desert. Stop at the natural hot springs of Mývatn for a relaxing bath (entrance fee not included). Dinner and accommodation.
DAY 6 – MÝVATN / GODAFOSS / AKUREYRI / HRUTAFJORÐUR
Breakfast. On the way to Akureyri, stop at the picturesque Godafoss waterfall, the waterfall of the gods. Arrival in Akureyri, the island's second city. Continuation to Skagafjörður, Hrutafjorður and Brimslóð Atelier, by the sea, with its magnificent views of the Atlantic Ocean. Here you will have a unique culinary experience where you will discover the authentic flavors of Iceland. During the activity, take part in a tasting game in which you will guess typical and traditional Icelandic ingredients. You will also learn how to prepare a delicious rhubarb jam using fresh local produce. Tasting dinner and accommodation.
DAY 7 – HRUTAFJORÐUR / KJOLUR / KERLINGARFJÖLL / REYKJAVIK
Breakfast. Departure for Kjolur on a 168 km road that crosses the Icelandic highlands from north to south. You'll have incredible views of the Langjokull and Hosjokull glaciers. This lunar landscape offers a unique experience. Stop at Kerlingarfjoll, one of the largest geothermal areas in Europe. To explore Kerlingarfjöll is to enter a world of active geology and wild beauty, where nature shows its strength and diversity. Arrival in Reykjavík. Accommodation.
DIA 8 – REYKJAVIK
Breakfast. Time at leisure until you are taken by regular “Fly Bus” service (without assistance) to the airport.
