Day 1 Edinburgh
Arrival and transfer to the hotel. Accommodation.
Day 2 Edinburgh
Breakfast. Panoramic tour of the city, including admission to the castle. Afternoon at leisure to explore the 17th-century Georgian New Town, an elegant area with cobbled streets, sandstone buildings, and a variety of shops, restaurants, and cafés. You can visit the National Gallery of Scotland, stroll along Princes Street, or shop on George Street. Accommodation.
Day 3 Edinburgh / Fife / St. Andrews / Dundee / Glamis Castle / Aberdeen
Breakfast. Depart north across the famous Forth Bridge with stunning views over the Firth of Forth through the Kingdom of Fife. Arrival in St. Andrews, famous for being the birthplace of golf and home to the University of St. Andrews, Scotland's oldest university, where Prince William and Kate Middleton studied. Admire the exterior of the cathedral and St. Andrews Castle. Continuation to Dundee, a coastal city in the east of the country. Finally, departure north to Glamis Castle for a guided tour. It was the home of the Queen Mother's family and the birthplace of Princess Margaret, sister of Queen Elizabeth II. Continuation to Aberdeen. Dinner and accommodation.
Day 4 Aberdeen / Whisky Trail / Elgin / Inverness / Highlands
Breakfast. Continuation through the Highlands following the famous “Whisky Trail” until reaching Elgin, to visit its beautiful medieval cathedral and have the opportunity to taste the country's most famous drink, whisky. Departure for Inverness. On the way, a short stop at the battlefield of Culloden, the scene of an important battle in Scottish history. Upon arrival in Inverness, guided walking tour of the city, covering its main streets, crossing the River Ness, and admiring its castle. Dinner and accommodation.
Day 5 Highlands / Loch Ness / Isle of Skye / West Coast
Breakfast. Departure for Loch Ness. Visit the ruins of Urquhart Castle and continuation west of the lake, passing by the romantic Eilean Donan Castle to the mystical Isle of Skye. Admire the spectacular panoramas of the island, enjoying extraordinary views of the Cuillin Hills and arrival at Mealt Waterfall and Kilt Rock before the end of the day. Dinner and accommodation.
Day 6 West Coast / Isle of Skye / Glencoe / Loch Awe / Lake District
Breakfast. Departure for Armalade to board the ferry to Mallaig and continuation through the beautiful Glencoe Valley and Loch Awe, passing through Fort William, to the village of Inveraray with its castle, residence of the Campbell clan. Dinner and accommodation.
Day 7 Lake District / Loch Lomond / Stirling / Edinburgh
Breakfast. Departure for Loch Lomond, one of the most captivating places in Scotland. Continuation to Stirling to visit its castle situated on a rocky promontory overlooking the region with breathtaking panoramic views. Return to Edinburgh. Arrival and accommodation.
Day 8 Edinburgh
Breakfast. At a time to be arranged locally, transfer to the airport.
