ABU SIMBEL, CAIRO AND THE NILE

Day 1 Luxor
Arrival, visa processing and transfer to the cruise ship. Time at leisure to start discovering Egypt, a fun country with friendly people and tasty cuisine, as well as being enriched by its impressive historical and cultural heritage. Dinner and accommodation.
Day 2 Luxor / Valley of the Kings / Temple of Hatshepsut / Colossi / Karnak / Luxor / Esna
Breakfast. Departure for the Valley of the Kings, where 62 pharaohs are buried on the west bank of the Nile. Continuation to the Temple of Hatshepsut in Deir el-Bahari, one of the most special and beautiful funerary monuments in the country, recognizable by its characteristic ramped staircase. On the way back, pass the Colossi of Memnon. Visit the Temple of Luxor, built by Amenophis III and Ramses II in the 18th century BC. The temple was connected to the temple of Karnak by the famous Avenue of the Sphinxes. Visit Karnak with its impressive columns, obelisks and statues. Lunch on board. Afternoon sailing. Dinner and accommodation.
Day 3 Esna / Edfu / Kom Ombo / Aswan
Breakfast. On arrival in Edfu, visit the temple built by Ptolemy III in 235 BC, notable for its façade in the shape of a solid slope. It is dedicated to Horus, the falcon god. Return to the boat. Lunch and sail to Kom Ombo. Visit the temple dedicated to the crocodile god Sobek and to Horus the Elder. Sailing to Aswan. Dinner and accommodation.
Day 4 Aswan / Abu Simbel
Breakfast. Disembarkation. Panoramic tour of Aswan, with the Temple of Philae and a wonderful falucca ride. Time at leisure to enjoy the market. Transfer by road to Abu Simbel. Visit to the temples of Ramses II and Nefertari. Dinner and accommodation.
Day 5 Abu Simbel / Aswan / Cairo
Breakfast. Transfer to Aswan to board the flight to Cairo. Arrival and transfer to the hotel. Accommodation.
Day 6 Cairo / Giza / Cairo
Breakfast. Departure for Giza, on the outskirts of Cairo. Visit the mythical pyramids and the Sphinx. Return to the hotel and afternoon at leisure. Optionally (not included), you can visit Memphis and Sakkara. Accommodation.
Day 7 Cairo
Breakfast. Visit to Cairo. Start at the Egyptian Museum, with jewels over 5000 years old, including Tutankhamun's treasure. Lunch. Visit to the Citadel of Saladin, the Alabaster Mosque of Mohamed Ali and the Coptic Quarter with the Hanging Church, the Church of Abu Serga and the Ben Izra Synagogue. End of the visit at the Jan el Jalili Grand Bazaar. Return to the hotel on your own. Accommodation.
Day 8 Cairo
Breakfast. At a time to be arranged locally, transfer to the airport.
