Indicative itinerary subject to changes until departure date
Day 1 Osaka / Kyoto
Arrival, reception and transfer to the hotel in Kyoto. Day at leisure to enjoy the city. Accommodation.
Day 2 Kyoto
Breakfast. Visit of the city of Kyoto, including Sanjusangen-do Temple, Nijo Castle, which was the residence of Shogun Tokugawa, with delicate architecture and sober decoration, Kinkakuji Temple, built for the Shogun, also known as "Golden Temple" due to the metal sheets that cover it, the garden of Tenryuji Temple and the Bamboo Grove of Arashiyama. Lunch at local restaurant. Return to the hotel. Day at leisure. Accommodation.
Day 3 Kyoto
Breakfast. Day at leisure to explore the city. We suggest a visit (optional - not included) to Nara and Fushimi Inari. Accommodation.
Day 4 Kyoto / Himeji / Kurashiki / Hiroshima
Breakfast. Transfer to Kyoto station to board the "Hikari" bullet train to Himeji. Arrival in Himeji and start of the visit to Himeji Castle*, considered a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After the visit, departure for Kurashiki by road. Lunch at local restaurant. In the afternoon, visit to the former residence of the Ohashi Family and the historic district of "Bikan". Continue by road to Hiroshima. Arrival and transfer to the hotel. Accommodation.
NOTE: The main luggage is sent directly from Kyoto to Hiroshima, arriving only the next day, so you should prepare a travel bag with necessities for 1 night. *Entry to Himeji Castle is not reservable and long queues form to climb the tower. In cases where it is not possible to climb, a visit to Osaka Castle will be added on the 9th day of the itinerary.
Day 5 Hiroshima
Breakfast. Visit of the city and Miyajima Island, including the Peace Memorial Park and its museum, the Atomic Bomb Dome and the Itsukushima Shinto Shrine on Miyajima Island, famous for its "torii" gate in the sea. Return to the hotel. Accommodation.
NOTE: Entry to the Peace Memorial Museum is not reservable and long queues form.
Day 6 Hiroshima / Koyasan
Breakfast. Transfer to Hiroshima station to board the "Nozomi" bullet train to Shin-Osaka. Arrival and departure, by road, to Koyasan. Lunch at local restaurant. Arrival in Koyasan and start of the visit to the sacred mountain, visiting Kongobuji Temple, Danjo Garan and Okunoin Mausoleum. Transfer to the shukubo (monastery) where you will spend the night. Vegetarian dinner and accommodation.
NOTE: The main luggage is sent directly from Hiroshima to Osaka, so you should prepare a travel bag with necessities for the nights in Koyasan and Kawayu Onsen.
Day 7 Koyasan / Kumano Kodo / Kawayu Onsen
In the early morning, if interested, you will have the opportunity to participate in the religious services of the monastery. Typical vegetarian breakfast at the shukubo. Departure by road towards the sacred site of Kumano. Lunch at local restaurant. In the afternoon, walk along the ancient pilgrimage route of Kumano Kodo for 60 minutes (3 km). Finally, visit to the Kumano Hongu Taisha Shrine, the main site of the pilgrimage route, and Oyunohara (the former site of Kumano Hongu Taisha). Transfer to the ryokan in Kawayu Onsen. Dinner and accommodation.
Day 8 Kawayu Onsen / Osaka
Breakfast. Departure, by bus, towards Osaka. Arrival in Osaka and start of the tourist visit to Osaka to visit the "Floating Garden" Observatory in the Umeda Sky building and the Dotombori District. Transfer to the hotel. Accommodation.
Day 9 Osaka / Kanazawa
Breakfast. Transfer to Osaka station to board the JR "Thunderbird" limited express train to Kanazawa. Arrival in Kanazawa and visit to the city, including Kenroku-en Garden, Oumicho Market, Higashi Chayagai District and Nagamachi District where you will visit the former residence of the Nomura samurai family. Transfer to the hotel and accommodation.
Note: The main luggage is sent directly from Osaka to Tokyo, so you should prepare a travel bag with necessities for the nights in Kanazawa and Takayama.
Day 10 Kanazawa / Shirakawago / Takayama
Breakfast. Departure for Shirakawago. Arrival and visit to the village declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, to see one of the traditional "Gassho-zukuri" houses. Departure, by road, to Takayama. Lunch at local restaurant. In the afternoon, visit to the city to see the Yatai Kaikan (Festival Floats Exhibition Hall), and Kami-sannomachi street. Transfer to the hotel. Dinner and accommodation.
Day 11 Takayama / Nagoya / Hakone / Tokyo
Breakfast. Departure by road towards Nagoya. Arrival in Nagoya and departure on JR "Hikari" bullet train to Odawara. Arrival and transfer to Hakone. Lunch in lunchbox. Arrival and transfer to Fuji-Hakone National Park starting with a mini-cruise on Lake Ashi* and cable car ride* to Mount Komagatake from which, if weather conditions are favorable, enjoy a beautiful panoramic view of Mount Fuji. Departure by road to Tokyo. Arrival and transfer to the hotel. Accommodation.
NOTE: Depending on weather conditions, visits may be replaced by others such as museums and/or temples. Also, the panoramic view of Mount Fuji will depend on weather conditions.
Day 12 Tokyo
Breakfast. Half-day tour of Tokyo, which includes Tokyo Tower, the Buddhist Temple of Asakusa Kannon, which is accessed through the lively commercial street "Nakamise". Panoramic tour of the city by bus. Lunch at local restaurant. Return to the hotel by own means (not included). Accommodation.
Day 13 Tokyo
Breakfast. Day at leisure to enjoy the Japanese capital, which embodies like few in the world the fusion between tradition and modernity. We suggest a visit (optional - not included) to Nikko with lunch included. Accommodation.
Day 14 Tokyo
Breakfast. Transfer to the airport.
VERY IMPORTANT
- On the 5th day of the itinerary, the main luggage is sent directly from Kyoto to Hiroshima, arriving only the next day, so you should prepare a travel bag (up to 10 kgs) with necessities for 1 night.
- On the 7th day of the itinerary, the main luggage is sent directly from Hiroshima to Osaka, so you should prepare a travel bag (up to 10 kgs) with necessities for the nights in Koyasan and Kawayu Onsen.
- On the 10th day of the itinerary, the main luggage is sent directly from Osaka to Tokyo, so you should prepare a travel bag (up to 10 kgs) with necessities for the nights in Kanazawa and Takayama.
- Visits may be altered due to traffic and weather conditions.
- For cultural reasons, people with tattoos are not allowed to enter the onsen. In the case of small tattoos, they can be covered with a bandage/gauze; in the case of large tattoos, access to onsen is not guaranteed.
- Check-in at the hotel in Osaka is from 15:00. If you wish to do early check-in, it is necessary to request an extra pre-tour night, although availability cannot be guaranteed.
- The Standard category does not have double bed rooms, nor are these guaranteed in the Superior and Deluxe categories.
- Traffic congestion is expected from 04/29/2026 to 05/06/2026 and from 08/13/2026 to 08/16/2026 due to local festivities.
