WONDERS OF NAMIBIA
The itinerary below is only a suggestion, therefore none of the places of interest or safaris are included
Day 1 Windhoek / Otjiwarongo
Arrival in Windhoek and transfer by road to Otjiwarongo. Rest of the day at leisure. Accommodation.
Day 2 Otjiwarongo / Etosha National Park
Breakfast. Departure for Etosha National Park via Otjiwarongo. Arrival at the park and afternoon safari. Dinner and accommodation.
Day 3 Etosha National Park
Breakfast. Departure for the plains of the park. Full day safari through one of the largest parks in Africa, en route to the next accommodation. The 5000km² lake basin, usually dry, creates a unique landscape. This territory offers visitors a particular approach to wildlife, adapted to the arid and harsh environment. You can see, among other species, elephants, black rhinoceroses, cheetahs and impalas. Dinner and accommodation.
Day 4 Etosha National Park
Breakfast. Morning safari in the park, and, en route, visit to a Himba village. Arrival at the lodge, dinner and accommodation.
Day 5 Etosha National Park / Damaraland
Breakfast. Departure for Twyfelfontein in search of the desert elephant, where you can also see oryx and springbok. On the way, stop to visit the Damaraland museum, where you will discover the traditions and customs of local tribes. Arrival at the lodge. In the afternoon, departure in a 4x4 vehicle along the Aba-Huab riverbed in search of desert elephants that have managed to adapt to the harsh conditions of the region. Dinner and accommodation.
Day 6 Damaraland / Swakopmund
Breakfast. Departure for Swakopmund, and, en route, visit to the rock engravings. Continuation to Uis, from where you can see Brandberg, the highest mountain in Namibia. Arrival at the lodge. Dinner and accommodation.
Day 7 Swakopmund / Walvis Bay / Swakopmund
Breakfast. Departure for Walvis Bay to take a boat cruise and be able to spot dolphins and sea lions. Afternoon free. Dinner and accommodation.
Day 8 Swakopmund / Sesriem
Breakfast. Departure for the Kuiseb River, crossing Naukluft Park. Arrival, dinner and accommodation.
Day 9 Sesriem / Sossusvlei
Breakfast. Early departure to see the sunrise in one of the oldest deserts on the planet, where the highest dunes in the country are found, some up to 300m high. Climb one of the dunes from where you can admire the spectacle they create. In the afternoon, visit to Sesriem Canyon, created by centuries of erosion. Dinner and accommodation.
Day 10 Sossusvlei / Mariental
Breakfast. At a time to be arranged locally, departure for Mariental. In the afternoon, excursion to enjoy the sunset and landscapes of the Kalahari Desert. Dinner and accommodation.
Day 11 Mariental / Windhoek
Breakfast. Return by road to Windhoek and transfer to the airport.
