Day 1 Portugal / Hanoi
Arrival at the airport at least 2 hours in advance. Check-in formalities on flight to Hanoi. Night on board.
Day 2 Hanoi
Arrival and transfer to the hotel. Hanoi is a peaceful and elegant city with colonial charm and oriental flavor, its green parks and numerous lakes give it a relaxed atmosphere. Optional visit to the mountains of Hoa Lu and Trang An (for flights arriving before 7am). Accommodation.
Day 3 Hanoi
Breakfast. City tour: Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (exterior) and his former residence, the One Pillar Pagoda, Tran Quoc Pagoda and the Ethnology Museum, with its exhibition on Vietnamese ethnic plurality. Lunch. In the afternoon, visit to the Temple of Literature, tuk-tuk ride in the old city where you will have free time to walk through the streets and enter antique shops. Then, visit to Ngoc Son Temple on Hoan Kiem Lake. At the end of the day, traditional water puppet show. Accommodation.
Day 4 Hanoi / Halong Bay
Breakfast. Departure by road to Halong Bay. Arrival and boarding on the Junk for a long cruise that will allow you to appreciate the surroundings of the bay, with an area of 1,500 km² and about 30,000 small islands of whimsical shapes reminiscent of animal figures or other objects. If weather permits, you can swim in the waters of the Gulf of Tonkin, see the stalactite caves and enjoy the sunset in a privileged location. Accommodation.
Day 5 Halong Bay / Hanoi / Danang / Hoi An
On this day, you will watch the sunrise over the bay and enjoy a cruise back to Halong. Brunch on board and return by road to Hanoi. Transfer to the airport for boarding flight to Danang. Arrival and transfer by road to Hoi An. Accommodation.
Day 6 Hoi An
Breakfast. Hoi An was an important port during the 17th and 18th centuries and declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit to the most picturesque area of the city, which preserves the atmosphere of its glorious past, the famous covered wooden bridge built by the Japanese community in 1593, Phuc Kien Pagoda, the Hung merchants' house and the Quang Dong Assembly. Lunch. Free afternoon to relax on the beach or shop in the old quarter. Optionally, we suggest you visit the famous Golden Bridge (Hands Bridge), located in the Ba Na hills. Accommodation.
Day 7 Hoi An / Danang / Hue
Breakfast. Departure by road to Hue, through the Hai Van tunnel. Hue was the former imperial capital of Vietnam, city of poets and intellectual center of the country. Visit to Emperor Tu Duc's Mausoleum, built according to the laws of geometry. Lunch. Visit to the Citadel to see the Imperial Palace and rickshaw ride. Then, boat ride on the Perfume River to Thien Mu Pagoda, an emblematic octagonal tower with seven floors. Accommodation.
Day 8 Hue / Ho Chi Minh
Breakfast. Transfer to the airport for boarding flight to Ho Chi Minh. Better known as Saigon, this city remains an important trading port on the banks of the Mekong River, a cosmopolitan city with beautiful buildings reflecting its colonial past. City tour including the old Colonial Residential Quarter which includes City Hall, the Opera House, the Post Office and the Reunification Palace (exterior). In the afternoon, visit to the War Museum, Cho Lon Chinatown, Tien Hau Pagoda and Binh Tay Market. Transfer to the hotel. Accommodation.
Day 9 Ho Chi Minh / Portugal
Breakfast. At a time to be arranged locally, transfer to the airport for boarding return flight. Check-in formalities and departure. Night on board.
