Day 1 - Portugal / Reykjavik
Check-in at the airport at least 2 hours in advance. Boarding formalities and departure on flight to Reykjavik. Arrival and regular transfer in "Flybus" service to the hotel or nearby stop (see Observations). Free afternoon to visit the aurora information center "Aurora Reykjavík" located near the harbor area (hours 09:00 - 21:00), where you can watch an interesting presentation about the phenomenon of the famous northern lights or aurora borealis (you can enjoy the entrance any other day during your stay in the city). Day 2 - Reykjavik / Golden Circle / Reykjavik
Pick-up at the hotel or nearby stop to take the excursion that will take you to discover one of the areas that best represents the island's most famous natural phenomena, the Golden Circle. Visit to Thingvellir National Park, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the place where the world's oldest parliament was founded. It is also in this place where the enormous tectonic plates of America and Eurasia separated. Continue to Geysir, where the only active geyser in the entire country is located and is one of the most emblematic natural phenomena of the island. Here you can feel how the earth trembles and the spectacular jets of water with hot steam shoot into the sky every 7 minutes from the famous Strókkur geyser. Departure to Gullfoss waterfall, whose cascade formed by the waters of a glacial river descends 32 meters in two levels through a narrow gorge with a thunderous noise. Return to Reykjavik. Rest of the afternoon free. Accommodation.
Day 3 - Reykjavik
On this day, excursion along the south coast of the island (duration 10h). Pick-up at accommodation or nearby stop for departure to the southern part of the country. During the route, enjoy typical Icelandic farms, waterfalls, glaciers, volcanoes and puffin colonies. Stop at Seljalandsfoss waterfall, where you can take a walk along its inner path. Continue to Skógafoss waterfall, one of the most photographed in the country with a 60-meter drop. Visit to Sólheimajökull glacier, any photographer's dream, on the way to Reynisfjara, the black sand beach, another incredibly beautiful place. The powerful waves of the Atlantic Ocean breaking against the black sands, the columns and the enormous basalt cave are an unparalleled spectacle (visit subject to weather conditions). Last stop in the charming village of Vík. Return to Reykjavik. Accommodation.
Day 4 - Reykjavik
Free day to enjoy the Icelandic capital on your own. We optionally recommend a visit to the Blue Lagoon. It is one of the most visited attractions in the country, where its steamy waters with an average of 40ºC, rich in minerals such as silica and sulfur, help with skin care and regeneration. Time to contract the optional treatments offered by the center. Return to Reykjavik. Accommodation.
Day 5 - Reykjavik / Portugal
At a time to be arranged locally, regular transfer in "Flybus" service to the airport for boarding on return flight. Arrival.
