AMAZING ICELAND

DAY 1 – REYKJAVIK
Arrival in Reykjavík and transfer by regular “Fly Bus” service (without assistance) to the hotel or a nearby stop. Accommodation.
DAY 2 – REYKJAVIK / GOLDEN CIRCLE / SELJALANDSFOSS / SKÓGAFOSS / REYNISFJARA / DYRHÓLAEAY / VÍK
Breakfast. Departure to the Golden Circle to see the famous geyser of Strókkur, which erupts every 8 minutes throwing a water column of almost 20 meters and the mythical waterfall of Gullfoss, which plunges into a canyon 70 meters high. Small tasting in a typical Icelandic farm, producer of dairy products with explanations about the elaboration processes. Continuation to the south coast, observing the waterfalls of Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss, the most famous waterfalls in Iceland. Discover the black beach of Reynisfjara and its huge geological formations. Stop in front of the Dyrhólaey, a huge dark lava pillar that juts 120 meters into the sea. If there is time, a short walk to observe the life of the small town of Vík. Dinner and accommodation.
DAY 3 – VÍK / SKAFTAFELL NATIONAL PARK / JÖKULSÁRLÓN / EAST FJORDS
Breakfast. Departure to Skaftafell National Park, which is part of the Vatnajökull National Park. Photo stop at Skaftafell to see the glacier from afar. Then continuation to Jökulsárlón glacier, the largest glacier in Europe. Optionally you can take an amphibious boat trip among the huge icebergs in the picturesque scenery of Jökulsárlón (duration: about 30 - 45 min - not included). Afterwards, continuation along the charming east coast through small fishing villages. Dinner and accommodation.
DAY 4 – EAST FJORDS / DETIFOSS / MÝVATN / GODAFOSS / AKUREYRI
Breakfast. Departure to the impressive waterfall at Detifoss, the most powerful waterfall in Europe. Departure to Lake Mývatn and Dimmuborgir formations, which ancient local legends considered as “the gateway to hell” and abode of elves and goblins. Visit pseudo-craters, sulfaracts with pools of boiling sulfuric mud and a lava labyrinth where strange lava formations provide shelter for unexpectedly rich vegetation. In the afternoon, stop at the natural bath complex of Mývatn, where you can enjoy a relaxing soak in the natural hot springs. Continuation to the waterfall of the gods, Godafoss. Arrival to Akureyri area. Dinner and accommodation.
DAY 5 – AKUREYRI / BORGARNES
Breakfast. Departure to Hauganes, to take a boat to try to spot humpback and minke whales. Afterwards, visit of the Glaumbær Museum, a former peat farm from the 18th century, which has a collection of works of art, part of which is outdoors. In the afternoon, drive to the land of Icelandic horses, along Skagafjördur. The last stop will be the fishing village of Borgarnes. Dinner and accommodation.
DAY 6 – BORGARNES / SNÆFELLSNES PENINSULA / KIRKKJUFELLFOSS / BORGARNES
Breakfast. Departure on an excursion to the Snæfellsnes peninsula. This region served as inspiration to the writer Jules Verne for his novel “Journey to the Center of the Earth” where Otto Lidenbrock and his nephew enter through a crater in the Snæfellsjökull to a fantastic world close to the earth's core. Attractions such as Kirkufjell mountain and its photogenic waterfall and the rock formations of Arnarstapi will be seen. Optional excursion inside the lava cave of Vatnshellir (not included). Departure to the charming village of Hellissandur and then to the fishing ports of Ólafsvík and Grundarfjörður. Stop at the famous Kirkufjell, Iceland's most photographed mountain. Return to Borgarnes. Dinner and accommodation.
DAY 7 – BORGARNES / THINGVELLIR NATIONAL PARK / REYKJAVIK
Breakfast. Continuation to Reykholt, historical place where many Viking sagas were written, and observation of the hot springs of Deildartunguhver. Then discover Hraunfossar (lava waterfall) and Barnafoss (children's waterfall). Continuation to Thingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the cradle of Icelandic democracy in 930 and where the first European parliament was established. It is also geologically interesting because you can clearly see the fault caused by the separation of the Eurasian and American tectonic plates. Arrival in Reykjavík in the afternoon, panoramic walking tour of the center with an accompanying guide, who will show you among other places the iconic church of Hallgrimskirkja and the magnificent opera building, the “Harpa” (if there is no time to make the walk this day, it will be done during the morning of the next day). Accommodation.
DIA 8 – REYKJAVIK
Breakfast. Time at leisure until you are taken by regular “Fly Bus” service (without assistance) to the airport.
